COVID-19 Department Operations
Staff are in the building full-time.  The the public should continue to use email and phone for all business. 
At present, meetings will continue be held using remote-participation options.   All Conservation Commission applications should be submitted by email to [email protected] with required paper copies and fees mailed to:  Leicester Town Hall, Attn: Conservation Commission, 3 Washburn Square, Leicester, MA  01524 or dropped off at the tax collection box at Town Hall (applications with large plans won't fit in the box). Staff will not meet you at the door for plan dropoffs.  Please remember that all NOI and RDA applications are also required to be filed with DEP.

Mission
The Conservation Commission administers the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act (MG.L. Chapter 131, Section 40), the Rivers Protection Act and related regulations as well as the Town of Leicester Wetland Bylaws and Regulations. The purpose of these Bylaws and Regulations is to protect the wetlands, related water resources and adjoining land areas (buffer zones) in Leicester.

Members are appointed by the Select Board for 3 year terms.
