Conservation Commission Vacancy - Apply Today!

The Town of Leicester is seeking applicants to serve on the Conservation Commission.

Mission: The Conservation Commission administers the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act, the Rivers Protection Act and related regulations as well as the Town of Leicester Wetland Bylaws and Regulations. The purpose of these Bylaws and Regulations is to protect the wetlands, related water resources and adjoining land areas (buffer zones) in Leicester. To learn more, click here.

Membership: Members are appointed by the Select Board for 3-year terms. The Commission meets once a month on the 2nd Wednesday, at 6:30pm in Leicester Town Hall. Orientation is available for volunteers interested in learning the basics on the roles and responsibilities of a conservation commissioner and the requirements of the Wetlands Protection Act.
