Due to inclement weather, the closure of the Rawson Street Bridge has been pushed back one week to April 2, 2018. Below please find the original message:
As part of the project to replace the bridge, MassDOT will close the Rawson Street Bridge over Cedar Meadow Pond on March 26, 2018. The bridge will remain closed until project completion which is estimated to be in October of 2018.
Rawson St. will be closed between Burncoat Ln. and Lake Dr. with local traffic access only. Eastbound traffic will be detoured to Greenville St. to Main St. to Burncoat St. to Rawson St., reversed for Westbound traffic.
The contractor will put up two message boards as early as next week notifying the public about the upcoming bridge closure. One will be placed at the intersection of Burncoat and Main; the second at Greenville and Kingsbury. The contractor will be on site installing construction and detour signs on Monday March 19.
