What Does PBSI Stand For And How Does That Come Into Play With Leicester Transportation?  
PBSI stands for PTM Brokerage Services Inc.  PBSI is the call taking and scheduling arm of the transportation program operated out of the Leicester Senior Center on Winslow Ave.

Who is Eligible for Transportation Services and Do they Need to Register in advance for this service before booking a van trip?
Everyone 60 years of age or older and people with disabilities aged 13 years of age and older.

How Can They Find Out When And Where They Can Travel?
Contact the Leicester Senior Center for their transportation schedule or call 508.752.9283 

Where Do They Call To Schedule A Ride; PBSIOr The Senior Center?
Anyone who wishes to schedule a ride can do so by contacting PBSI at 508.752.9283.  The first time you call, you will be asked for information including, name, address, phone number and emergency contact information. 

​How Far In Advance Can They Schedule A Ride?
You must call at least 48 hours in advance and no more than 7 days in advance.  If you have an urgent medical need – (NOT an EMERGENCY medical need call 911 for that).  But you wake up in the morning and don’t feel well and the doctor will see you, please call us ASAP.  We cannot guarantee you a ride but we will try our best to accommodate the request.) test10

What Information Will They Need To Have On Hand In Order To Schedule A Ride?
Name, exact address of pick up including street name and number, exact drop off address including street name and number.  Whether you have an appointment and if you are what time the appointment is. test9

Is There Is Minimum Amount Of Time Between The Appointment Time And The Return Time?
Yes, there is a one hour return trip policy. test8

If They Need Someone to Go With Them For Assistance How Do They Arrange For That?
Just let the call taker know that someone will be accompanying you. test7

If The Senior Center In Leicester Is Closed Because Of The Weather Will They Still Get A Ride?
Typically the service gets taken off the road when schools are closed.  If you will still be going to your appointment, please call 508.752.9283 to let them know.  If there is transportation on the road arrangements will be made to get you there.

When They Schedule Their Trip Will They Be Told When They Will Be Picked Up By The Van?  If Not, How Will They Find Out? 
Each evening (before 9:00 P.M.) you should receive a call with your pick up information.  If you did not receive a call please call 508.752.9283 after 8:00 A.M. to find out your pick up time. test6

If They Need To Cancel Their Trip Who Do They Call And When?
You call 508.752.9283 as soon as you know you will not be taking the trip.  It is important to call whenever you cannot take a scheduled trip because others may have been able to access transportation. test5

They should call 508.752.9283 as soon as they know they will be ready early.  We will make every effort to get to you as soon as we can. test4

What Other Transportation Is Available From The WRTA?
The fixed route bus travels between Worcester and Brookfield and back daily.  test2

What Is ADA Transportation And How Is That Different From Elder Transportation Service? 
ADA transportation is a higher level of service and you must apply to become eligible for the service.  This service is for people who because of a disability cannot use the regular bus.  Call 508.752.9283 to set up an appointment to apply. test

What Is The Cost Of A Ride? Does The Cost Change With The Destination?
The Town of Leicester subsidizes some trips for seniors, like to the meal site for lunch.  You can contact the Council on Aging at 508.892.7016 for more information.
