Snow and Ice
Under the Snow and Ice Program, the Department of Public Works is responsible for the plowing, sanding and chemical treatment of approximately 100 miles of streets in the Town of Leicester, as well as the clearing of parking lots at Town Buildings and removing snow from sidewalks throughout the Town. The labor for the Snow and Ice program is furnished by all the employees of the DPW and is supplemented by hiring contractual seasonal help.
