What will I be charged for overdue books, DVDs, etc.?

The Leicester Public Library does not charge fines on books, audio books and music, and dvds that we own.  High demand items like video games, kits and hotspots, and museum passes will accrue fines. You may be charged fines for overdue books, magazines and other items that are owned by other libraries, even if you check them out in Leicester.  If you have a question about fines, please see a staff member.

If you have fines on your account, they can be paid with cash or a check in person at any CWMARS library.  You can also log into your library account from the catalog (www.cwmars.org) and pay with a debit or credit card.

Items more than 28 days overdue are considered lost, and a bill is automatically added to your account. Returning the item will remove the bill, but not any associated fines. Bills can be paid online through your account, or by contacting the owning library. For details or assistance, please contact library staff.

Accounts with more than $10 in fines or any lost items are blocked form borrowing any new items.
