The Senior Citizens Club of Leicester has taken on the task of organizing a campaign to provide packages from home for some area young people who are serving with the armed forces in Iraq.

SUPPLIES FOR TROOPS PERSONAL HEALTH, HYGIENE NEEDS- NO GLASS Atheletes foot cream and powder Antibacterial get and large baby diaper wipes (These replace a shower on many days). ( On missions, this is the only way soldiers can clean themselves. The dust and dirt is overwhelming. Showers are not always possible). T issue packets that can be carried in pockets. Eye drops (They’re especially helpful after dust storms). Moisture cream and hand lotion. Lip balm Shampoo, conditioner—-—-.Combs—-—nail clippers Shave cream, after shave, razors (disposable) Sun block (30 sun protection factor or higher). Air fresheners (stick ons that hang up; tents can get pretty stinky). Antiperspirants Dental floss, toothbrush, tooth paste. Freezer plastic bags (to protect the soldeirs belongings from the ever present dirt). Moleskin as their feet get torn up with the boots MUCH DESiRED MISCELLANEOUS NEEDS

Electronic games, videotapes, video movies, audiotapes. Decks of cards, dominoes, cribbage boards, other small board games Crossword puzzles and other word game books. Hand and foot warmers for winter FOOD ITEMS NOOL Beef Jerky, Gum, life savers, candy and Dunkin Donuts Coffee Sunflower seeds, cashews Peanut butter and jelly crackers, tuna with crackers Granola bars—Power bars Popcorn and various snacks Fruit cups, Applesauce Instant coffee—Gatorade Old cell phones and accessories to purchase phone cards for troops
