What are Leicester’s Wetland Regulations and how do Leicester’s requirements differ from Massachusetts Wetland Regulations?

Leicester Conservation Commission Rules & Regulations for Administering the Wetlands Protection Bylaw (Leicester Wetland Regulations) were adopted to administer Leicester’s Wetland Bylaw (part of the General Bylaws).  The main differences from Massachusetts Wetland Regulations are a 25 foot “no disturb zone” around wetland resources, more limited exemptions than the state regulations, and required abutter notification to direct abutters for RDA applications.  Leicester’s Wetland Regulations also specify local fees and submittal requirements and procedures.  Please refer to Leicester's Wetland Regulations prior to filing any application with the Conservation Commission.
