Do I have wetlands on my property?

If your proposed project appears to be located within 100 feet of a wetland, or within 200 feet of a river or stream, you should consult with a wetland consultant.  Some wetlands are easily recognizable: streams, ponds, and cattail marshes, for instance.   However, some wetlands can appear dry at different times of the year. These wetlands are not as easy to recognize and require the service of a trained wetland consultant to identify.  A wetland consultant can tell you if your property contains wetlands and delineate the wetland boundaries.  The Commission can provide you with a list of wetland consultants who work in this area and have presented applications to the commission.  All wetland delineations are subject to Conservation Commission review and approval.
